Opportunity to attend the 2015 Global Health Bootcamp
The Diaspora Health Network, in partnership with the UCSF Global Health Core and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, is excited to offer three spots to this year's Global Health Bootcamp in San Francisco, to be held from September 30-October 3, 2015.
Now in its second year, the Global Health Bootcamp is a continuing medical education course facilitated by the University of California, San Francisco. Planned as an intimate seminar, the Bootcamp attracts global health leaders from around the country to train with experts in the field on items of program planning, systems building, and partnership in global health. Speakers this year include leaders in mobile heath, rural health, international health policy, and HIV and malaria. The workshop is capped at 36 individuals.
As part of our mission, we seek to prepare foreign medical graduates to serve effectively in their countries of origin, starting as soon as they arrive they arrive to the United States. As such we are excited to partner with both groups to provide this unique opportunity.
In partnership with UPMC, we will be able to cover conference fees (at value of $1500 each) for three international medical graduations currently training in the UPMC system. Our vision is longitudinal, with a goal to foster and support the visions of selected attendees year-to-year until they are able to execute long-term fruitful projects in their countries of origin.
Individuals who are interested should apply below. Applications are due by August 10.
